What are the Charter updates?

Contract have evolved since 1949, but the City has not. The small changes being proposed create big savings and help move procurement along faster and cheaper for the City.

Runoff elections are expensive, tiresome and lead to less voter and candidate participation. Changing the method to instant runoff creates more opportunities for individuals to run for office. More choice, more voter participation, healthier elections.

These changes allow you to grow our City. We will be able to better respond to today’s ever changing needs.  Our City has been left behind, creating a stagnant and more expensive local government.
